Pre-conditioning Down Under

£16.95
A daily massage of the perineum with this gentle oil during the last six weeks of pregnancy will help to keep it supple and elastic, reducing the potential for perinneal tears. The oil is Zita's own unique blend of pure plant extracts, enriched with avocado and borage.

Get to know this 'hidden' part of your body at around 32 weeks, as it needs to be in good condition for the delivery of your baby.

We strongly recommend daily perennial massage during the last 6-8 weeks of pregnancy as it may help to prevent tears. Soak in a bath to soften the area. Then place a little Preconditioning Down Under Oil on your thumb or index finger and place in the vagina at least 5cm (2 inches), pressing towards the rectum. Gently stretch the area in a U shaped motion until you feel a tingling sensation. Release the stretch and then massage the area. Repeat this for five to ten minutes.

How does using the product prevent tears?
Research shows that women who massage the perineum during the weeks immediately prior to birth can help to prevent tears. The oils in Preconditioning Down Under help keep the skin moisturised and contribute to its suppleness.

I only have two weeks to go until delivery, the oil should be used from 32-34 weeks, is it still worth using it?
YES, any moisturising and massage will help prevent tears.
