“Famous for helping women to get pregnant when everything else has failed.” The Times

Nutrition and miscarriage

Your diet and nutritional health can influence your chances of maintaining a pregnancy, as can your age, your lifestyle, and your general health and vitality. And the older you are, the more important each factor becomes! The more your body is in balance prior to conception, the greater your chances of conceiving and the better your pregnancy is likely to be. In an ideal world nutritional balance would happen naturally. However, restricted diets, intensive food production and processing and the stresses of job, travel and family, can often result in our nutritional needs not being met fully.

If you and your partner have no identifiable physical problem that is causing you to miscarry, it may be helpful to have your nutritional status checked by one of our nutritional therapists. Small deficiencies or imbalances in areas such as your nutritional or hormonal status, your diet, weight or fitness, your stress levels, or just your general levels of energy, can all adversely affect your chances of maintaining a pregnancy to term.
