Second Trimester

This is the time in pregnancy when you start to feel much better – you can focus on your fitness and general health and really start to enjoy it. Your pregnancy is by now becoming quite noticeable and you will probably feel a surge of renewed energy, good health and a relaxed sense of well-being. In these next few months all your baby’s organs, systems and structures that were laid down in the first trimester will grow and develop at an astonishing rate, and she or he will be making their presence known too with the first fluttering movements. The right nutrients, vitamins and minerals are needed at this stage of your pregnancy, particularly for your baby’s bones and teeth – and your own health and well-being too.
