Making a baby is a whole body event and things like weight, fitness, how well you’re eating and sleeping, and work-life balance all have important roles to play too and can often make the difference between conceiving successfully or not. Particularly the older you and your partner are.

It can be really important that you’re both eating and drinking all the right things too.The quality of your eggs and sperm as well as other metabolic factors linked to your fertility are closely tied to your nutritional health and it’s very important to make sure that you’re both getting the right supply of all the most critical vitamins and minerals.Even if you think you’re on top of all this we’d always recommend that you both take some good quality specialised supplements as well, if only as an insurance policy. Many couples who seem to have healthy and well balanced diets can still be failing to get all the nutrients they need. Missed and rushed mealtimes, smoking, drinking and stress, and the depleted nutritional value of many farmed foods can all lead to poor digestion and dietary deficiencies.
