Why choose trimester-specific pregnancy vitamins?
Your baby's development, and your own needs, change from one trimester to the next. A trimester-specific formula adjusts the nutrients at each stage and avoids high doses of vitamins such as Vitamin A, which standard multivitamins are not designed to manage for pregnancy.
When should I switch to the next Vital Essence?
Do I need Vital DHA as well?
We recommend it. Maternal DHA intake contributes to normal brain and eye development of the foetus and breastfed infants, and Vital DHA is designed to be taken alongside each Vital Essence formula.
What should I take after giving birth?
Revital Essence is our postnatal multivitamin, formulated for the first 12 months after birth and suitable while breastfeeding. Many women continue Vital DHA alongside it, and the NHS advises breastfeeding mothers to consider a daily 10µg Vitamin D supplement.
